**Please make sure your child can match pitch prior to signing up for vocal technique lessons*****
Voice Lesson Fees for Evening lessons:
- $30 per lesson to be paid monthly at the first lesson of the month. Some months may vary, and I will communicate with parents about upcoming fees that are due. Most months have $120.00 per month tuition.
- Paying monthly assures that your child keeps a timeslot for lessons. Students risk dismissal after payment is 2 weeks late
- Most lessons are once weekly for 30 minutes.
- Checks may be brought to lessons for payment. I am on Venmo with the name Marie Kirkeiner.
Missed Lessons:
- Parents are essentially reserving a time-slot for their child when they enroll in lessons for the school year.
- I create a make-up time once a semester as needed. It will be during my personal availability.
- If your child is sick or your family is impacted for a long period due to the Covid-19 illness, please communicate with me right away, and I will discuss solutions.
Supplies:
- Voice Students: Each voice student needs a binder with pockets, which he/she will bring to each lesson, practice charts, (I give them), pencil, FLASH DRIVE, sheet music and any recordings. (1-inch binder with pockets is ideal) Voice students will purchase various books as needed.
- Piano Students: We will purchase a Lesson Book, Recital Book, and Theory Book for your curriculum.
Curriculum:
- Voice: Technique music for developing good vocal health (tone production, vowel shaping, diction, etc.)
- Voice: A variety of songs which facilitate good technique will be used: Easy Classical, Folk, Broadway, and Contemporary.
- Piano: We will work on musicianship with the goal of independent music literacy for each student. (Reading Rhythms, Pitches, and Chords) Alfred Method Books teach intervals and chords in sequence.
- All: Please provide a space in your home where your child can practice regularly, even if it’s his/her bedroom.
- All: Practicing is essential for success! All students should come prepared and ready to work each week.
- Combination lessons are available and highly recommended. (Piano; Voice; Guitar; Ukulele)
ISSMA Solo and Ensemble Contest and/or NFMC Junior Festival Participation is Encouraged:
